A GREAT SURPRISE FROM OAKVILLE, NAPA VALLEY
It is quite interesting to find wines that we never saw in the market and of course never tasted before. But even better, I discovered a great bottle of a blend called SOPHIE'S RAWS 2007 "Red Wine" from Oakville, which was a wonderful surprise. It is always exciting to find a bottle of wine with great aromas of dark fruits, slightly oaked, not so high in alcohol and very, very elegant and tasty, for less that $20 dollars! We can still find little jewels that only make us wish to go for more!

Spanish wine event
This was one of a kind tasting seminar of some rare wines (small, family vineyards), followed by a tasting of numerous well known Spanish wine houses in San Francisco, the last 20th of March, 2012.
I was invited by Oscar Montana, a winemaker for Marques de Tomares, who provides excellent quality red wines at prices hard to bit.
